Coors Factory Re-Design

Our mission is to redevelop the current Coors Factory into a creative district that encourages environmental stewardship, and connects the people of Golden to local creative industries, while maintaining the cities affordability and Western heritage.

The Cliff Swallow installation is an aesthetic and functional piece that provides shade and serves as nesting for local Cliff Swallow populations who currently make their nest under highway 6.

The Art Walk Park will consist of several art installations created by local artists and those creaatives living in the arts district. You can take a winding stroll through the restored native landscape and stop to sit and take in the views at any one of the installations.

My role in this project was to spearhead precedent research, the creation of the art walk park, plant scheduling across the site, and solutions to encourage creek remediation.

The city of Golden, Colorado Planning Office provided a RFP to re-imagine the Coors Factory site as if it was relocated or no longer functioning. Coors in Golden is currently is the single largest brewing facility in the world. The idea was to create a proposal that prioritizes the well-being of local residents and wildlife through residential housing, commercial business and site remediation.
